🌷Eve {2}

Hello God’s Princes & Princesses! Must be nice being the Almighty’s children! I really wouldn’t want anything less. Which makes me wonder why someone would willingly choose the devil like???? I don’t know if you guys have seen that video of the man who was saying if you refuse Jesus he will mobilise some boys šŸ˜‚ I’m about to do that too.

You read my blog & you don’t take JESUS seriously , I will mobilise Yielded People , we find you and deal with you!! You would have to visit the dentist for some fake teeth because the ones you have now will be crashed into powder šŸ˜‚ (that’s a serious threat!) but on a more serious note,

Fix your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ

Today.

So, Eve right. Last night while teaching in the Midnight Prayer Group, I shared that Eve was presented to Adam like a gift, a need. God saw that she was needed in the garden. She wasn’t created to do what cows do, to act or think like a chicken, or to just be stagnant like the trees in Eden. She was created with something within her, the ability to help, to nurture, to build. I absolutely love being a woman. God’s works are truly beautiful! I found myself saying, ā€œA woman, what a great concept.ā€ Then I thought, maybe that’s not the best English but honestly, who cares? As long as you catch my drift!

Someone told me they’re beefing with Eve and honestly, I get it! Like, ā€œEve, why did you do it? We wouldn’t be stressing about bills and weaves if you just stayed away from that tree!ā€ And I really need a weave which l wouldn’t have if I was still in Eden. I was telling my cousin that I’d have had the most wowalicious hair. Now they are telling us to pay thousands. Yho ai! Anyways

Think about it: Eve stepped into an already created, already beautified world. And not just that, there was a handsome man waiting for her in it. Literally, soft life on a hundred! Adam had already been given the instructions on how the garden was to be run. So every home, every Organisation, every institution has rules that guide it. These rules exist to protect peace, order, and uniqueness. For example, your parents might have wanted you home by 6 p.m., while someone else’s parents wanted them home by 3. Another family might not have cared at all. That’s why, wherever you go, it’s so important to learn the rules that govern that space. Otherwise, you risk being a lawbreaker and living in conflict with your environment.

If, in my house, we don’t wake up at 5 a.m. blasting Drake, then don’t come here and start doing it. You will have to leave with your CD and disrespect. Do you see what happened with Eve now? She didn’t lock in to the guidelines that were already in place. They say, ā€œWhen in Rome, do as the Romans do.ā€ And in context, I agree. Why would you go to Zimbabwe and try to impose the constitution of South Africa? The people will fight you, and honestly, you may not live to tell the story!

This principle applies to every area of life: work, relationships, church, even school. You have to ask yourself what are the foundations of this place, what keeps it running, what are the rules, what is expected of me, what are the consequences of breaking those rules, how do the people here live, who can I align with, and who is the leader I should follow? Even in marriage it’s the same. You’re not marrying someone who grew up with you under the exact same roof (unless you’re a lunar 🌚). You’re stepping into a whole new system with its own order. Eve had to do the same. She needed to lock in with the rules that were already in place, because that’s how the garden was designed to be run.

ā€œBut God told us, ā€˜You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden. You must not even touch it, or you will die.ā€™ā€ But the snake said to the woman, ā€œYou will not die.ā€
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ICB

Eve finds herself in a conversation with a different kind of animal. This animal speaks. Did animals speak back then? I have no idea but this one did. And here’s what I want to talk about: women often find themselves in conversations. We talk too much. We always want to open our mouths, to explain, to engage and sometimes we struggle to ignore and just keep quiet.

When the snake spoke to Eve, she could have said, ā€œYou know what? Talk to Adam. I have no say. I just arrived.ā€ But instead, she engaged. And do you know how many bad relationships we could have avoided if we had just not responded? Eh! A relationship always starts with a conversation. Do you know how many friendships could have been saved if we had just stayed silent when that person came to gossip? How many beautiful things could have stayed beautiful if we had just learned the power of being quiet?

I’m also learning this lesson myself , don’t respond. Women talk everywhere in church, at work, at home. And many times, things fall apart because a woman got into the wrong conversation. So I want us to reflect: what are you saying, and who are you saying it to? Who are you in conversation with right now? Are they good for you? If the answer is no, then do what Eve didn’t do: stop the conversation.

Being Christian doesn’t mean you have to answer every DM. Some of them you shouldn’t even dare open, because they’ll drag you into a den of lions, and trust me those lions will deal with you. Sometimes silence is your greatest weapon. Sometimes you don’t have to respond at all. A marriage ended in divorce because someone couldn’t hold their tongue. A friendship collapsed because someone couldn’t resist clapping back. A destiny was delayed because someone answered a sneaky text. Eve doesn’t only teach us to keep away from sin, she teaches us to keep away from sneaky conversations. Yep, even the ones that start with, ā€œLet’s meet at my houseā€¦ā€ Sneaaaaky! Netflix and chill? With who? Boy, leave me alone! Girl, l don’t have the time it’s the last days!

Ladies and gentlemen, the conversations you’re having right now can either birth sin or righteousness. Be careful. Leave some on read. Leave some on gray. Maintain your position as a child of God. See you tomorrow.
