What can you solve? What can you fix? Is it the leaking tap? Are you a plumber waiting to happen? Is it an unfashionable generation? Are you a fashion entrepreneur waiting to emerge? What problem can you solve in this world right now? What gap can you fill? Because money follows value. And value follows solutions. If you never discover what you can solve, you will struggle financially , unless you choose dishonest ways, which I forbid for you.
Thieves do not solve problems; they create them. They steal because they failed to identify a gap where they could bring value. But you? You were not created to take what doesn’t belong to you. You were created to build, to fix, to design, to teach, to heal, to lead. Find the gap. And let your reward come as a result of the value you provide.

Occupying through providing solutions. I am occupying a blog because daily I solve the problem of possible ignorance. I solve problems of the mind, so I am a mental health counsellor. I solve the problems of believers who often become negligent of their spiritual lives, so I lead a prayer group. I do other things too. What that means is I am filling a gap in the world, which will bring value to me and create an avenue for resources. The world is full of problems, full to 100%. Those problems are the reason why they hire people for jobs. They call you for an interview and you fail? What they saw was someone who cannot solve their problem. Do you get it now?
You may be a teacher; you are providing a solution to a generation that may be dull in the future. The doctor at 28 was once a Grade One student. It means those who solve educational problems at a mature stage are just as important as those who solve them at the childhood stage. One builds the foundation, one builds the brain later. Both are problem solvers. Both get paid. Both have provided a solution to the world. The world is looking for problem solvers, not those who create problems. Ladies like looking good, so could you be a solution bearer for beauty products? Oh, in your community people don’t have access to good bread, can you bake? Solve their problem. So in your country people can’t seem to find anyone who can teach good English, can you do it? Solve their problem.

“I’m looking for money” but money is looking for you too. Money is searching for us, desperately. The issue is that no channel has been created for it to flow. You haven’t solved problems yet. The other day, someone called me for makeup, I solved their problem of not knowing how to do it themselves, and they paid me. But I can’t just go and claim that money without providing a solution in exchange.
Do you see now that there are countless ways to make money and occupy space in the world? Plenty. Harvard, for example, occupies the mountain of education by solving the problem of low-quality education elsewhere. Food chains like KFC solve the problem of hunger by providing good food, and you pay them. You can’t go to KFC and demand food for free, cry and jump on tables, no! They will send you one big bouncer to carry you by one leg and drag you out. Why? They solve your problem, you pay. Value always follows problem solvers.
So what can you solve right now? If people were willing to pay you, what would they pay you for? “No, I’m waiting for a job.” Okay, that’s fine but while you’re waiting, what are you solving? How about learning a skill? Do you know that Jesus was a carpenter? People had beds, cupboards, chairs, tables because Jesus and Joseph made them. Surely, they would get paid. What about the fishermen? They spent nights on the boat fishing, scripture even says they toiled all night. Why? Why not go home and relax? They were solving the problem of fish in their land, which brought resources into their hands.

You don’t always need complex ideas, sometimes you just need to think and act. I know a lady who sells eggs; people buy from her instead of your Spar. She delivers them to people and has solved their problem, while discovering her business could grow bigger and offer better prices. What can you do right now? If your answer is “nothing,” then you are not ready to occupy. The issue is not God or the world, it’s your mindset. You have a defeated mindset. But if you take the time to think carefully, you will find a gap, fill it, and occupy.
See you tomorrow! Go and solve problems. I love youđź’•
