Occupying through providing solutions 3

It’s Worship Wednesday! What songs have been ministering to your spirit? Have you been praising and worshipping God, or are you the kind of person who only has time to present needs and wants? Today, make some time to serve God with your praise and worship. Scripture says to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.

Okay, so we have been discussing how to occupy through problem solving and providing solutions, and we are now on Part 3. I encourage you to start from Part 1 so you can fully understand the principles and foundations we have already covered, because occupying is not accidental, it is intentional.

On this photo above you see men and women who are occupying space through problem solving. A bus driver solves the problem of transportation, helping people move from one destination to another. Here we have Reavaya and Metrobus. A judge solves problems at a legal level, bringing order and justice where there is conflict. Things you cannot solve in your community, the judge can do something about it.

An actor steps in and says, “Are you bored? Let me create a series or movie,” and suddenly you’re on Netflix all evening, entertained and engaged. You even cry watching their movies. Your problem of “nothing to watch” is solved. An accountant helps those who struggle with numbers like some of you here, (some of you is me) to manage finances properly. To you 1+1 = 37. Your calculator hates to see you coming 😂 So yah an accountant will help you.

A waiter solves the inconvenience of you standing in line, carrying your own food, and navigating the entire dining process alone. So you pay, and the service solves your problem. Anyone who occupies a space of problem solving becomes valuable and, in one way or another, will make money. It may take time to reach abundance, but they will always have something, because problem solving transfers value. It takes money from the one whose problem is being solved and brings it into the bank account of the one who provided the solution. Now, let’s look at another example.

Now, there are those who solve problems according to their educational background, for example doctors, teachers, pilots, psychologists, and many others. These individuals acquired specific training, degrees, and knowledge in order to be trusted with that level of responsibility. The government actually wants certificates for their accredited training. Not everyone can solve problems at that level, because not everyone has gone through that preparation. If you place someone without the required training in those positions, they may not solve the problem, they may create more problems. At the same time, it works both ways.

If you take someone highly educated in a specialised field and place them in a role that requires a completely different skill set, they too may struggle and create inefficiency. A doctor may not function effectively as a cleaner, and a cleaner is not trained to perform a doctor’s duties. This is what brings balance to life. Every role matters. Every space has value. You are needed to occupy where you are called and equipped to function.

“Lord, I don’t have anything to do. I’m always sitting at home. I am getting depressed and sad. Lord, I need money. I need ABC.” Yet while God provided for Adam, He still gave him a task. In Genesis, Adam was placed in the garden not to be a veterinarian or a pilot, but to tend and keep it. Provision came with responsibility. Purpose came with work. God essentially said, “My man, be a gardener here.” The first job given to anyone was gardening so don’t despise it.

Some of you may not have become doctors even though it was your dream, but what can you do with what is in your hands right now? Why not learn a skill and clean homes? Start small, even with friends, and grow it into a cleaning company. What about babysitting? Print flyers and tell parents, “I will solve the problem of your long working hours away from your children. Pay me this amount, and I will help you.” You can occupy the beauty space by learning how to braid hair or do nails, these days even men are thriving in that industry. What about baking? Solve the problem of those who love scones but don’t know how to make them.

All you have to do is think. Identify a problem you can solve. Even in the area of emotional wellness, if someone wakes up depressed, and you are equipped to listen and guide, you can say, “I am here to help.” You listen to what they cannot tell anyone else. That’s what I do. I sit and listen to people tell me different things and they pay to speak to me or to have me listen. You must understand that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Your answers are right in front of you. Open your eyes. I think we need a continuation of this topic. By the time we are done, you will occupy a space and provide solutions.

See you on Friday. Go and solve problems. 💕
