Topic of Reflection : Why you should stop masturbating Pt1-5

It’s Reflection Friday! It feels like the days go by so fast, we literally just started a new week. Nevertheless, we thank God for the gift of life and for the lives of our loved ones. Today, I’d like us to pause, look into the mirror, and reflect on a few of the things we’ve discussed over the past week. Then, by God’s grace, on Monday we’ll begin a new topic: How to Stop Masturbating.

I truly believe many people have been helped so far, and the testimonies have been encouraging. May God continue to give you the grace and strength to keep fighting and walking in freedom. Oya, let’s go.The topic of masturbation is quite broad & it is a real life thing. I think of it like a plague, your covid 19 kind of plague. If it finds you vulnerable, without a mask, without maintaining your distance, without quarantining yourself, without eating a good diet, without getting a vaccine of prevention, this virus will eat on your soul & kill your relationship with God.

It is safe to say that it is one of the greatest fire quenchers in the life of a believer. A person can be a prayer warrior, fasting, faithfully serving in church, and passionately pursuing God, yet the enemy waits for them in the privacy of their bedroom. Once they get there, regardless of how much spiritual fire they carry, the whisper comes: “Just do it one more time.” Beloved, that “one more time” is rarely the last time. Many people know this from experience. How many last time’s have you done? Was it the last time?

I want you to honestly think about your life in relation to this struggle. Are you truly happy? You may be surprised to know that some people are comfortable remaining in it. As long as they can say, “God, I’m sorry,” they don’t feel the urgency to break free. One of the most dangerous places a believer can be is living in habitual sin to the point where it becomes comfortable and is justified by saying, “There’s grace.” I have a verse for you.

So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? I should hope not! If we’ve left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there?

Romans 6:1–2

Think about it. Every time you masturbate, do you truly want to keep living that way? For how long will you continue feeding with the pigs? This reminds me of the story of the prodigal son. He left his rightful place, just as many people leave the place of righteousness, and squandered his inheritance. In the same way, sexual sin causes us to squander what God has entrusted to us, our bodies, our purity, and our fellowship with Him. Before long, we find ourselves feeding among the pigs, living in the filth of lust.

Lust is a filthy spirit. It has reduced men to crumbs of who they were created to be, turned women into objects of seduction, torn families apart, and even killed countless lives. If you were to ask me, after everything we’ve learned this week, whether some people still went back to it, my answer would be yes. They did. That is why these teachings are not meant to be read only once. Una dey do view once 😂. Read them again and again until you confront yourself . Understanding why you must stop will help you in how to stop.

People pride themselves in Lust. I’ve seen shameful acts of social media of people advising others to do it. That’s why we are having our own private family gathering on these blogs so that us who belong to the family of Christ can also advise each other to stop. Your issue is you want to take advise from people who are outsiders. You sit and watch TikTok’s of sexual activity knowing very well you’re single and burning with passion, what exactly do you suppose will happen thereafter? Na to masturboot.

Today, I want you to confront yourself. Yes, confront yourself. Sit down and have an honest conversation with yourself. Admit that you’re struggling if you are. Then ask yourself, “How long am I going to keep living like this?” There comes a time when enough is enough. I believe that time is now. Put your foot down, make a decision before God, and say, “This cycle ends here.”

Unfortunately for many people, the hardest thing for them is this very part. Confrontation & Admission. They avoid addressing the wound until it smells. Here is a visual representation of what masturbation has done to people. Dress well look good and all nice but deep down? Eaten and devoured daily .. can you relate?

What decision will you make today? You have to make that decision so that by the time we start with the hard part, you are in it for real. The good thing about this is that nobody will force you or run aftee you. Nobody will impose. Nobody will make the decision for you or bully you into stopping . It’s a you versus you kind of thing. It’s you for you.

By the way, this is for addicts and even those who do it occasionally. I’m saying l want to help you remove it from your life completely by Gods power. Are you with me? When we meet here on Monday , we are in boots & helmets, ready to fix someone’s destiny & rebel against the devil. Think about all these things, don’t just read them … really think.
