Worship is not an event but a lifestyle for devoted lovers of God.
Greetings my beloved family. Today is our Worship Wednesday! We share our playlists and dedicate a full day to our Lord which is something many people rarely do. In the midst of our worship we tend to shift focus to the devil , to thoughts , to ungodly feelings. Many people can’t give full attention to God, during worship they start warfare “I bind and cast” and they stay on that the entire worship session, all they said to God was “Our Father who art in heaven” .. Family there is a time for everything.
If we knew what happens to us during worship we would worship more. Worship broke the oppression of depression in my life. It was during worship that l was delivered. Today I encourage you, praise and worship Him. I have linked a couple of songs for you to Dance like David and Worship like Mary! One area of struggle for many believers is the mind. The mind is a seed to our actions and as we know, every seed produces after its kind. There’s no guava seed that produces apples unless it’s either a miracle or demonic . A mango seed produces mangoes. There’s no way my parents could produce a white daughter because they’re both black! I’m their product. Likewise ,your actions are the fruit of your mind. A copy and paste. If your mind is filled with thoughts of revenge you will feel angry, if your mind is filled with pornography , the fruit of that is masturbation, fornication and even demonic dreams of molestation. There should be no unintentional thought, no careless thought. Careless thinking is the reason why many have committed suicide. Thoughts on the loose are the devil’s playground.
Your mind must be renewed by the Word of God. There’s no transformation for a person who rejects the Word. The difference between you and the next “deep” person is the mind. You cannot become like someone whose mindset you don’t have and that’s why many can’t handle the mantles they pray for. You can’t become like Christ if you don’t have the mind of Christ. You can’t become like your spiritual father if you don’t think like he does because you only become what you think. You’re a product of your thoughts.
The mind of Christ is the Word of God. I don’t understand a believer who does not have a Bible. How do you expect to be transformed, where is the map? Who and what is directing you? It’s not in cramming scripture, it’s in living scripture. It is foolish to think you’ll pass History if you don’t read History books, because the equipping of your mind depends on what it is fed.
Do you know what’s responsible for those actions of yours? The mind. Either careless thinking or unguided thinking which is thinking outside the Word of God. Yes, even thoughts of low self esteem! It is careless thinking or unguided thinking. Yes even depression ! Let’s touch on different kinds of thoughts this week. Our God whose desire is for us to be like Christ, will surely see us through to the point where we can say, “My mind is yielded to Christ!” . You’re loved by God and myself! ❤️
Life is not a matter of self evaluation through worldly standards but through the word of God. The Christian mirror is nothing else but the Bible. When we do self introspection through the lenses of scripture we are most likely to find the mistakes quickly and discover the ways to fix them , vice versa. The world does not dictate how we should live for if it does, we have no part in this kingdom, we are disobedient, rebellious, wayward ! As you look back this week, what areas of your life were not completely surrendered to God? Your thoughts? Time? Speech? Wardrobe? Uncontrolled appetites?
This week Holy Spirit kept on reminding me to watch my thoughts why? Because in my creative mind, I find myself trying to create stories but they’d always end up being a “scary movie”. Im used to writing fictional novels for adults so the transition from that to trying to create something for children is just mad crazy! I was hearing “No, pull that thought down let’s try another way to create a story” as I reflect , I’m reminded of Philippians 4;8”Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.“ Philippians 4:8 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/php.4.8.NIV
The real surrender happens on the inside [the inner man] and affects what’s on the outside which is now our actions.Take a closer look in the mirror, what does the Word say about how you acted throughout the week? If you’re truly willing to change, Holy Spirit will help you . Remember when you see a problem, work on it through scripture not through “normalising” what heaven rejects, that’s how we learn to yield. A man who doesn’t reflect and introspect is a man of many mistakes which could’ve been avoided.

My beloved family, l just want to thank you for showing up here every weekday! It means a lot to me. Thank you a million times , you’re truly a treasure. Today l want us to watch a movie together. I’ve watched it many times and it has taught me a lot about life as a Christian. Take sometime and watch it. I know, l know it’s animation and some of us have outgrown that but we can never be ignorant to teachings because we have outgrown the channel or means used to teach. Expect lots of Christian movies, sermons, games, etcetera as we go! Tomorrow we will do some self introspection and reflection looking at the past, present and future. If you are not yielding to God you’re yielding to the Devil. There’s no in between. If you are not of God you’re of Satan. He says today, “Give careful thought to your ways” .. What and Who have you been yielding to?
It’s not too late to consider your ways.
Everything. The cost is all of you for all of God. All of you, for all of the Spirit. A bit of you will not cut it. “God knows my heart” while you still lie and cheat won’t cut it. “God only looks at the heart” while you make excuses for riotous and reckless living won’t cut it. In the book of Luke chapter 5, the disciples finally got what they toiled all night for. THE FISH. A net breaking number of fish that filled two boats but the bible says they left it all to follow Jesus. They left the boats, the nets, the fish they worked so hard to get, the customers, to follow Jesus. Do you know what it means to follow Jesus after you have received what you want? Would you still follow if you woke up a millionaire? Would you still serve as much as you do now? If you got the job? If you met the Ruth and Boaz? Would you still follow Him? Would l ? Yet Simon in John 6 says , “Master we have forsaken everything to follow you!”
You leave something for something. Nobody ever leaves for no reason, people only leave when they have found something better, have been chased away or rejected or are fed up of something. In this instance we are not told that they were fed up of fishing or they were chased from the sea ,they found something better. Let me tell you, there’s no yielding in bits and pieces. You don’t yield the fish and keep the net. They left everything! Meaning right now if God asks you to yield all your finances for the church building project, you literally yield every cent. My friend, here we will go from milk to solids, we will teach each other the meat of the gospel. “Oh no God wouldn’t ask me for that much” Ehh do you know a man called Abraham? Why did he go to mount Moriah? For a braai? To sightsee? For fresh air? Was he exercising or participating in some hiking challenge? No. He went to yield what was in that moment his boat, net and fish , Isaac.
Are you ready to yield? To walk the hard but necessary path? If God says give me Isaac, would you? Lay him on the altar, bind him up and raise your hand to stab him, shoo! Yielding costs everything and you’ll soon understand why l say so as we keep climbing the ladder. The cost of yielding is never calculated by man … the one who totals it is GOD.
What did it cost Jesus to yield to the Father?Everything. It cost Him heaven, He left It to come to earth. It also cost Him earth, He hung there on the cross, a yielded Son, even unto His last breath, never did He yield to His own will… that’s it family. To yield. To surrender. To submit. It is everything. It costs everything. It demands everything.

In a nutshell yielding is defined as surrender, submission, to comply with, to be overcome , to conform to. This is something many many Christians sing but do not understand. “I surrender all to thee my blessed Saviour” is “l submit or yield all to you Jesus” now take a moment to Selah.
You sang it but did you understand the words? If you did , how come the next moment you refused to yield your finances and only tithed 2%? Why is it that you decided by yourself who to date or marry? Didn’t you say you surrendered all to Him? Hmmm… do we really understand or do we say words carelessly to stir up emotions or to sound spiritual?
Before we go in too deep and we start swimming with the sharks, l want to give an opportunity to someone who is not saved to receive Christ. The truth is, these things we talk about remain empty words if you are not saved. We can only yield to Holy Spirit if we have yielded to Christ. You cannot get on a plane you don’t have a ticket for. You don’t just pack and rush to the airport. The first step is to book your flight which is yielding to be taken to a destination by a particular airline, you understand that you cannot walk to Egypt or swim to China, you can’t, so you getting on their plane is you surrendering your life to them .
Likewise, the first step is salvation because we can’t get to the deep things of the Spirit if we ignore Jesus Christ. Nobody arrives in heaven without Him. Honestly, if you can entrust your life to a pilot you do not know, if you can entrust a human being with your heart then you can give your life to Christ. The greater part of this journey is us experiencing God to the point where our lives are a full experience and expression of Christ. God wants to help you in every aspect of your life but you must yield by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ. Isn’t that beautiful? He’s saying YIELD TO MY LOVE! ”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.“ John 3:16 NIV
Come on, pray with me my friend.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, thank you. Thank you for the opportunity to give my life to you. I receive you today as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that you came from God, died for me, rose from the dead and has now returned in glory and to glory to the Father. My heart has received many people but today my heart is receiving the best, The Messiah. Thank you for washing away my sins, henceforth, l am a new creation and l belong to you.

Now that we have all settled in, let’s get ready for the work! We will kickstart with the Yielded series where we will be discussing what yielding is, as well as how we can yield to Holy Spirit. l do not wish for this platform to be a place where you just show up and read because I’m your friend or you know me from somewhere, no! It’s beyond our relationship if we are related in anyway, it’s about our personal relationships with our Lord Jesus Christ. I want you to show up here because it is worth it, because God is here, because we deal with issues here! I mean business, I know God does but do you? The upcoming posts will be very sensitive and crucial for us as the yielded squad, let’s get our pretty and handsome~selves here for a ride with Holy Spirit as l type for Him.
