🌸Happy New Week, Yielded People 🌸. . . l pray you are all well. As we continue with our topic, “Occupy Till I Come,” we are exploring different ways we can truly take ground, build, influence, and dominate in the spaces God has given us. Yesterday, while on the road with a sister of mine, l was telling her how uncomfortable it would be for me to work in the aviation industry because I’m terrified of heights so when I’m up there, I just want to come down quickly! Like please get me to the place I’m going and let me get down.
The conversation shifted to how we need more Christians in the airline business since that space is largely dominated by other religions , and suddenly it hit me , the blessing God spoke over Adam in Genesis 1:26 (KJV), “Let us make man in our image… and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air…,”
I wondered, was God only speaking of birds, or was He establishing a prophecy that humanity would one day occupy the skies, soaring even above birds through planes and aviation? When you think about it, man now operates on land, in the sea, and in the sky, there are industries and systems in all three realms but the real question is, which man is occupying those spaces, the fallen man, or you, the redeemed , Spirit-led and yielded man? Selah.
Occupying through providing solutions means understanding why we go to school in the first place. To acquire education, to gain knowledge and understanding of the past, present, and even prepare for the future. All this is so that we can bring solutions through what we know. That is why one of our previous topics was occupying through knowledge.
Education, as a structured system, became necessary after the fall because Adam in his original state did not need it. I have never read any verse that says “And Adam took a math book and started working out sums and equations. Thereafter, he took a history book (would’ve been blank anyways).” The man had divine insight, wisdom, clarity of mind, and direct alignment with God who is AllKnowing.
Adam’s only requirement was obedience and remaining in right relationship with Him. But when Adam ate the fruit, something shifted. Like people when they smoke weed and take drugs. Your mind is deteriorating while you think you’re high. You’re high in dullness. So yes, Adam’s mind was affected, and humanity now required books, teachers, and YouTube to regain enough understanding to function in career, business, governance, and daily life. “How or where did you learn that?” “Oh through YouTube.”
So education matters, because in our fallen state, it becomes a tool for restoration, empowerment, and dominion. An uneducated person neglects a vital part of their development and limits their ability to function at full potential on the earth. Someone may say, “But I know uneducated people who are doing very well.” And that is absolutely correct. It is possible to succeed without sitting behind a desk or following a formal academic path. Education is not a one-size-fits-all journey, but it is a wise and valuable path , especially if you are not naturally wired to function effectively without structured knowledge.
The principle remains, occupying through providing solutions begins with knowing the solution. You cannot provide what you do not know, and you cannot give what you do not have. I’ve met many people who said they could cook, they could do ABC but Shem. They didn’t know anything. When someone’s car breaks down, the one positioned to make money is not the car owner, but the mechanic because the mechanic carries the solution. By solving the problem, he begins to dominate and occupy space within the motor industry. Solutions create influence, and knowledge positions you to provide those solutions.
This was our introduction to this week. We will explore many ways to occupy. Many business ideas. What you can solve, why, how , when? Make sure you bring a friend who can benefit from this. You see, knowledge keeps you from perishing but laziness keeps you from acquiring knowledge which furtherly (there’s no word like that btw) keeps you from pursuing your destiny.
