This week we have been discussing what it means to occupy by providing solutions. To occupy is not merely to exist in a space, but to bring value into it. We spoke about the various solutions you can provide in this world, solutions that can open you up to new spaces, new opportunities, and places of influence. When you solve problems, you become needed. And when you become needed, doors begin to open.
Many people are solving problems and holding positions, but they are not in positions of influence. There is a difference. Influence is not automatic because of a title. It is a choice. It is intentional. It is stewardship. A person can sit in an office, wear a badge, carry a title, and still make no eternal impact. Another person can have no title at all and yet shape atmospheres, change conversations, and redirect destinies.
The difference is choosing to be influential. Choosing to represent Christ where you are. Choosing to bring light into systems. Choosing integrity when compromise is easier. Choosing excellence when mediocrity is normal. Choosing courage when silence would be more convenient. Many hold titles, but where they are placed, they are not occupying for Christ. They are present, but not impactful. They are visible, but not influential. They are positioned, but not purposeful.
Where God has placed you, are you impactful? Are you influential? Who have you intentionally influenced this week? Who is better because you were in the room? What shifted because you showed up? Influence is actually measurable. Not always in numbers, but in transformation. Just like yielded Center, there’s statistics. How much impact do you want to make by the end of each week? Each month? By December 2026? You are not just called to fill a position.
You must think about these things as you provide solutions. Is it just for money? Did God give you that ability simply so you could earn a living or live comfortably? Certainly not. It is for impact. The space you occupy is for impact and influence but ultimately for the Kingdom of God. Many people started by solving problems, gained resources, began travelling, and then drifted into drunkenness, heavy smoking, and immorality. Eh! They can drink all day. Smoke 24hours. Got 5 girlfriends. A Solomonian. They had influence, yes but it became negative influence. Influence is powerful, but without alignment to God, it can easily become destructive. Remember the disobedience of Israel in Canaan even in a promised land, disobedience brought loss.
So let’s reflect, how have you impacted lives so far? I often check my blog statistics. At first, it was excitement “Ah, people are reading!” But now? I’m excited to know how many people were impacted. Where are they from? What might have shifted in their hearts? That is what pushes me to keep writing. So write comments . In your place of problem-solving that salon, that restaurant, that company, that hospital, are you the light there? Are you the salt there? Or did you solve problems until you slowly became the problem?
It’s the weekend. Some of you will be serving in church, solving the problems of praise and worship, sound, ushering, cleaning, administration, and so much more. God bless you. May God remember your sacrifice. Keep showing up. Keep serving God and His people. Keep giving. God sees, and He knows you by name. See you on Monday, my Yielded People. Thank you for walking with me this week. I love you💕
