Okay , you’re back? GREAT! Let’s get into the interview!

- What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever believed as a child?
💚 I used to believe that if I swallowed a seed, a tree would grow inside my stomach. It made eating fruits a very stressful experience!
- If you had to eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
💚 Probably jollof rice with grilled meat and plantain. Classic, delicious, and never gets old.
- If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
💚 Cyber security & Video editing at a cinematic level. It would make my content even more engaging.

- Who is Iyo beyond the skits?
💚 Iyo is just a young man trying to get by really, I’m also an introvert who somehow thrives in social spaces.
- What inspired you to start creating skits?
💚 I’ve always loved storytelling, and I noticed that people connect more with lessons when they’re presented in an engaging, relatable way. Using comedy to retell Bible stories from a modern perspective felt like the perfect way to do that. - How did you come up with your unique style of comedy?
💚 My approach blends Nigerian culture with biblical narratives, making them feel fresh and relatable. The diary-style confessions and character interviews add a unique touch, allowing audiences to hear the characters’ perspectives in a modern context.

- Walk us through your creative process—how do you develop ideas for your skits?
💚 I start by reading a Bible story or observing something in everyday life that sparks an idea. I then think of how a Nigerian would react in that situation. Once the concept is set, I draft the dialogue, plan the shots, and get into character.
- Do you ever experience creative blocks? How do you overcome them?
💚 Yes, definitely! When that happens, I take a break, watch other creative content for inspiration, or revisit Bible stories with fresh eyes. Sometimes, talking with friends or taking a walk helps new ideas flow.
- Which of your skits is your personal favourite, and why?
💚 Probably the Nativity story/musical I did last Christmas..I’ve always wanted to infuse my musical side in my skit, and the fact that I got to do that with the nativity story makes it my favourite !!!

- What has been the biggest challenge on your content creation journey?
💚 Trying to balance my personal life with my social media life. I have social anxiety, and the fact that I have to talk to a lot of random people on the road scares me sometimes.
- How do you handle negative comments or criticism on your social media platforms?
💚 I filter through them. If it’s constructive, I take it as feedback. If it’s just hate, I ignore it. Not everyone will get the vision, and that’s okay.

- When did you get saved?
💚 I’ve always known God, but my faith became truly personal and intentional in my teenage years.
- We see that you can siiiiing, is it something you would pursue as a career?
💚 I enjoy singing, but for now, it’s more of a personal and worship-driven expression than a career pursuit.
- What’s one piece of advice you’d like to give to someone looking to deepen their faith?
💚 Take it one day at a time. Spend time in the Word, stay in a community that uplifts you, and be intentional about your relationship with God.

- What’s the funniest behind-the-scenes moment you’ve had while filming?
💚
There was a time I set up everything to shoot, only to realise later that I forgot to press record. Happens EVERYTIME !
( I’d scream for 27 hours!)
- If you could collaborate with any Christian content creator, who would it be?
💚 Probably someone like Arielfitz —her humor and storytelling style are top-notch.
- If your life were a movie, what would the title be?

- What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
💚 I’m actually very quiet in person—until you get to know me!
- Sunrise or sunsets?
💚 Sunsets. They feel peaceful and reflective.
- Dancing or singing?
💚 Singing. My dancing is strictly for comic relief. - Would we find you at the beach or climbing mountains?
💚The Beach. I enjoy the calmness of the waves.
- How long does it take you to shoot one skit?
💚 Shooting can take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the complexity. Editing takes much longer—sometimes a few hours or even a day!

- What advice would you give to someone who wants to start making skits but feels unsure?
💚 Just start. You’ll improve as you go. Don’t overthink it—consistency is key.
- Would you ever consider creating movies or acting in movies?
💚 Yes, I’d love to! It would be a great way to expand storytelling beyond short skits.
- What platforms is your content on?
💚 Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube and X
- Create a short poem titled ‘The Day It Finally Stopped Raining.’
