âAttention, Israel!
This very day you are crossing the Jordan to enter the land and oust nations that are much bigger and stronger than you are. Youâre going to find huge cities with sky-high fortress-walls and gigantic people. âMSG â Deuteronomy 9:1
Happy Monday my people. I trust we all had a lovely weekend. We are still occupying. We are still finding ways to occupy. We are still doing our best to occupy. We are still searching for more wisdom, knowledge and understanding on this subject of occupying, not only as theory but practically too. Our topic is, Today you must occupy.
When is the Lord commanding them to occupy? Today. When is the Lord commanding you to occupy? Today. Today is when He says take over, dominate, rule, and take up space. It is not something to postpone to next week or to June. He says today. This shows us that timing matters. When you occupy is just as important as the act of occupying itself. The timing carries a significance for your destiny. You donât just occupy at any random moment; when you do it matters. God had been leading them through the wilderness, through cities, through preparation, all to bring them to that exact point. And when they arrived, He said, today. Donât delay. Donât hesitate. Donât waste any more time. Occupy.
You would be surprised how many times God has said, âToday,â and we responded with, âItâs not yet time.â How many ânot yetâ moments have we spoken in subtle disobedience? Meanwhile, we are still crying and circling the same mountains in the wilderness, lingering in what is familiar. We bask in the comfort of the old place, enjoying yesterdayâs sunshine, when God has already said, âMove today.â
What keeps making you change the dates on that vision board? Is it truly God adjusting your timing, or is it fear disguised as wisdom? Is it discernment or is it unpreparedness speaking? Sometimes we call it waiting on God, when in reality, God has already spoken. The question is not whether He said move. The question is why we keep postponing obedience.
âAttention, Israel, today you must cross over and take your space.â Yet surely some thought, letâs wait a bit. Letâs prepare emotionally. Letâs prepare mentally. We know we want this, but letâs take our sweet time and think it through. Some of us have thought ourselves out of obedience. We sit and count stars while destiny is calling. We are not time-conscious. We are not even aware that God may be waiting for us to obey the last instruction He already gave. We think argh we can do it later. Does later belong to you? Do you sing âl will do Your willâ but end up doing yours anyways? If you donât move when God says to, you are doing your own will even if you sing that song a straight 36 hrs plus adding tongues of fire to it.
Again, you would be surprised how many of us say we are waiting on God, when in reality, God is waiting on us. So whatâs the hold up? Where is your business link? Where are your business cards? Where is the book? Where is the new business? Where is the very first thing you wrote on that vision board? Where is your website? Where is the progress? What are you planning to do today? If you say nothing, I will come and kick you at your house. This thing has turned into vawolence. We must do it by force.
February is already coming to an end. And as I said, I will keep asking at every month-end: what have you done, two months into a year like this? Letâs continue tomorrow. I love you â¤ď¸
