It’s yet another week people of God, I’m expectant for what God will do for you and l this week. It’s the last week of March which means we are three months done with 2026, see how time flies? We will arise and occupy on time in Jesus Name. Today l want us to discuss the internal affairs that may propel or stop us from occupying. The beginning of any great revolution starts in the mind. Let’s discuss a bit.
“We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.”
2 Corinthians 10:5 (The Passion Translation, TPT).
I need you to read to understand. Inside your head there is something called a brain, as you already know. Your brain is one of the most vital parts of your body. In fact, when your brain is affected, your life is affected, your body is affected, everything is affected. In your brain, amazingly, there are cells that God in His creativity made to receive and capture information. As of now, the things you know, where are they stored? The things you have read, watched, and listened to, the reason you can recall lyrics to a song or remember what one plus one is even though you learned it many years ago, where is that information stored? In your brain.
Your brain is like a moving library. It moves around with you. Whether you’re in Johannesburg or Ghana, you travel with your brain, which means you travel with the information in it. I hope we are all in understanding so far. When we fellowship with God, He also uses our brains to give us ideas, instructions, and direction. This is why you cannot allow things like anxiety and depression to suppress your mind. You need to guard your mind against any form of corruption, ensuring that you are not storing negative information, and protecting your mind from places and people that can make it unhealthy.
The way you view the world and the people in it is a reflection of your mindset. A mindset is essentially how your mind is set, the makeup of your mind, how it functions, and the decisions it is inclined to make. While we all have brains that, in a healthy state, should function similarly, our mindsets differ. The brain performs its role, but the mindset gives it direction. Your mindset is unique to you. Do you realize that we do not all think the same way or even agree on the same things? That is the difference in mindset.
I’m explaining all these things that may seem boring to you so that we can understand that to occupy, you need a certain mindset. That means your mind must be set to occupy. Metaphorically, it’s like setting your alarm to 06:30, as long as your phone is functioning well and charged, it will ring at 06:30. We call it “setting an alarm.” We go to sleep fully confident that it will ring. Some of you don’t even wake up , your own needs fasting and prayer because exsquuueze me? Anyways, that’s the same approach we should have with our minds. You must set your mind like an alarm, deciding that by December you will have occupied ABC.
The alarm does not set itself, and your mindset will not change by itself. Many people who keep asking “why this, why that” are simply people who have not made up their minds. Have you made up your mind to occupy? Because mindset gives direction, and where there is no direction, the mind has not been set. The brain may be there, but it is under-functioning because the mindset that gives direction has not been developed.
I will stop here so that we understand the connection between your brain and your mindset. You have a brain, and you need a mindset because the mindset gives direction. Where your mind goes, your body will follow. Today, make up your mind that you want to occupy, that you truly want to. You are not “bluetoothing” the vision from anyone; you are choosing, for yourself, to focus and to change any thought pattern that is contrary to this one.
