It’s Worship Wednesday! Today, I’m grateful for God’s strength. Some days are overwhelming, you feel like you could just sit down somewhere on a rock in the sun and let it all out. But God… He keeps us going. Hour by hour, He gives us the strength to push through and get things done. I’m also so grateful for this blog. It’s helped me discover so much about who I am and the purpose God has placed in me, more than I can even put into words. This is your reminder, use your gifts. Be consistent with what God has given you. There’s so much waiting for you on the other side of that “one step” of obedience.
People of God, what defeats you in your mind has already defeated you everywhere else. If in your mind you believe you can’t, then you can’t, simple. If you believe you can, then you will. You become who and what you consistently think about. Your mind has the power to shape your life, whether for good or for bad, it can structure your world, making it either colourful or dull. Your mind gives you identity, a name, a title. I’ve always said this, a doctor is called a doctor because of what they carry in their mind. You can’t just call yourself an engineer, does your mind carry engineering knowledge? If not, then it’s not yet you’re a liar , because it is what fills the mind that gives direction to your actions. It gives movement to your hands and feet.
This is the power and advantage of reading books , you become the content you consistently feed your mind. People who don’t read or study anything your mind is gathering dust while the world moves at a fast pace of knowledge. You want to occupy spaces where they ask for a certificate , yet think you can get there on prayer alone? Even Jesus, fully divine and fully human, studied the scrolls. It’s surprising how often people assume prayer can cover a knowledge gap, misusing the statement “God qualifies the unqualified.” God does not place you in positions that require knowledge without expecting you to be prepared.
What would we do with a pastor without knowledge? A teacher without knowledge? What would an author write without knowledge? Your mind is asking to be fed so it can elevate you to greater heights. Imagine how far you could go if you consistently picked up a book, took a course, attended a seminar, studied the Bible, or listened to a podcast, filling yourself with light. Doors may open by grace, but they stay open for those who know what to say and what to do when they walk through them. An illuminated mind will make its carrier a value to society.

King Solomon was already a king, yet he pursued extraordinary wisdom. So to those who say, “I’m already a graduate,” keep studying. The world is expanding rapidly with information, and many textbooks are already outdated, add more knowledge and keep fine-tuning your mind. There are books on almost everything. You enjoy doing hair? There’s knowledge for that craft too. This is especially important for Christians, because the world often mocks us, saying all we do is pray and fast. While those are powerful, we sometimes forget that God also requires us to grow our minds. He instructed Joshua, a leader, to study the Book of the Law. Apostle Paul said, “Study to show yourself approved,” meaning without study, you cannot rightly handle truth.
Daniel and his friends didn’t rise because of money or looks , though they may have had both l believe but because their minds were filled with light. They studied deeply and developed unusual understanding, enabling them to occupy high places across knowledge, from literature to science. What do you understand that makes you valuable? How much do you truly know? You say, “I know scripture” okay, quote it? lol I’ve heard self made verses eh.
Daniel and his friends are a perfect example of what God can do with people committed to upgrading their minds. That’s what we’ll talk about on Friday how to upgrade your mind and what degrades it. Today, take a step, enroll in a course, search for free accredited or non-accredited courses online, whether short or long. Read your Bible. Follow a podcast that aligns with your skill or calling. Grow, become, and then occupy. I love you, see you on Friday.
If you read my blogs but have never met this  Wonderful Jesus that I’m always writing about,  you’d love to get to know Him, Or you know The Lord but have found yourself drifting far from Him, I would love to talk with you. Please send me an email  on yieldedcwcenter@gmail.com or simply comment, and I will reach out to you.
