The whole picture

”We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.“
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

THE HOLY BIBLE

Looking at this picture , I got the sense that the person in the mirror either does not want to be seen or only wants to be seen [or see themselves] through the bits and pieces. What this means is, they’re afraid to confront the whole picture, the whole reflection, to come face to face with their whole life so they chose to break the mirror and pick out small details of their life to confront or be confronted by . Many of us are like that and that’s why we never heal. We dare not look at the whole picture, only the pieces of what doesn’t threaten the walls we have built. We hate confrontation. We hate the closer look.

Look at the picture again. Can you tell who’s in the mirror? Bet you said no! The problem is not with your eyes, the problem is the mirror. The person responsible for shattering the glass is the one who has ruined the image we are supposed to be seeing. Sometimes it’s us or them. The memories and happenings in our lives are as a result of our personal decisions or people’s influence. The clearer the mirror , the clearer the reflection. You cannot reflect on things that you keep distorting by lying to yourself.

Lastly, in order to have an effective self introspection process, you need the Word of God. You cannot fix things that have a manual maintenance system unless you check out what the manufacturer of the product says. His word is our mirror. His word is what corrects us.

”God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.“
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Holy Bible

As we reflect on our week, take a closer look. What triggered your actions that Monday? How do you change your decision that you made on Tuesday? Are you okay? Are you breaking the mirror because you’re afraid to confront things?
It is always a pleasure writing to you, see you on Monday. ❤️
