The world has given us many ways to kill our pain for just a moment or maybe let’s call it, a temporary coping strategy. You sit in-front of the tv laugh for a few mins, the next minute you’re back in grief. You take some sleeping medicine to avoid the pain but you’ll still wake up and the pain is still there. You can even do food therapy, eat all you want, ice-cream , donuts for comfort but you’ll soon be full and that sting comes back. Our desire to be free from pain was put by God Himself . When Jesus was about to die He handed over His favourite disciple to His mom and vice versa why? Because He knew that kind of pain does not go unless there is a comforter to stand the gap.

I recently lost two friends about two weeks apart. I was at a conference in church, had just gotten off the stage when I got the news. I sat there trying to listen to the word and shut down all the pain because I couldn’t just break down. I was so heart broken. Then again, I lost another friend in the most brutal way , see, the pain of losing people is unbearable. Who helped me go through all that? The Holy Spirit. Who is He?

”But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.“

The Holy Bible

There must be someone to stand in the gap to comfort you. There is none better than the Holy Spirit. He is called the Comforter sent to help us with all our burdens. There are people who think they’ll never heal from losing someone, it is not true. The Holy Spirit does not comfort like ice-cream or donuts, no. He brings total and complete healing , something the world desperately needs but can’t get because it rejects Him. Holy Spirit has a way of wiping tears that when people see you they don’t believe you ever cried. No trace of grief.

As we conclude on this topic today, I want to say to you, there is a balm in Gilead who stitches the hearts of men. He will do the same for you if you desire it. Yes, it is painful , it still keeps you awake at night, it takes away your appetite but it has an expiration date! I pray that by this time next month you have a testimony of overcoming the depression that comes from grief. I do hope all l shared with you helped in one way or another. If not, please do see a Christian counsellor and get more help . Your joy is coming back in the healing and restoring Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. You are loved!

You are more than just a worm. More than just a boy. More than just a girl. More than just someone’s mother or father. In each of us is greatness , deeply embedded, not defined by anyone but God. Your perception of yourself may be the reason for your limitations. Your performance does not equate to your value. Your failures do not decrease your value to God. I bet the woman caught in adultery felt she was less important, less worthy than everyone else around her . People who gathered around her came to mock her , came to kill her, because of her actions , she must’ve felt like she was the worst person alive. People’s Condemnation does not lower Gods love for you. Infact nothing can separate you from His love. Your self reflection or introspection today can remind you of how you were caught in the act but may you see deeper, you were also saved by Jesus. The one who was meant to stone you, the one who had every right to, did not.

Today let’s learn from our past mistakes. The mistakes we made this week including the intentional sins. Shall we go on sinning because grace abounds? Shall we go on living like worms when we are butterflies? Shall we go on living like pigs when we have a beautiful home we could go to if we stopped being prodigal? The gifts entrusted to you, the talents, what did you do with them this week? Oh how about reading the Bible? Did you pray? You see, that’s living like a pig why? Because you have been consuming the dirt from the world and social media all week, nothing clean and pure has entered your system. Reflect on the teachings of your pastor, what have you done since Sunday to show that you learnt something?

Lastly, HOW ARE YOU? How was your week? May God cause you to laugh today. Just hug you and give you strength . I love you. See you on Monday . ❤️

welcome to our chilled Thursday; we get to sit and watch some good Christian movies. I’ve realised that whenever I watch one, I am watching intentionally to learn what God is saying in every scene. Those movies are created to preach the gospel. While other movies might be okay, depending on what rules and instructions of consecration God has given you, many of them tend to be an hour~plus of junk, just feeding ourselves with content that triggers demonic activity. The story line may be good but what do we learn from the movie?

First of all, Happy Valentines !! Single, Married, Divorced, all of those categories, I hope you know you’re loved so very much! To my single people, don’t worry oo. It’ll happen soon!! Next year it’s you with the teddies 🧸and Lindt master 🍫 While it’s just a normal day to others, some literally feel the pressure, please o, it is well weet you. Nobody will take the day off the calendar so even next year you have another shot. If you’re single next year then l will have to interview you LOL! (As if I’m valentining) Anyhooo the business of the day!

I can’t get over Minister GUC’s songs! I couldn’t wait to plug you guys. Can we do it a bit differently today? Take your prayer requests and put them before you as you praise and worship. Even if it’s to be in your valentines mood next year, tell God. Worship Him in the face of all your problems and needs, just keep praising and thanking Him for your testimony in advance. It’s important that we focus on Him when we praise and worship, a wandering mind cheats us of encounters! We need encounters today!!! If others could see Jesus Himself, then even you as you worship can too.  There’s no limits to what happens when we truly plug into an atmosphere!
