I should have planted my flowers in December—by now, I’d have a full bouquet to admire and dramatically inhale like I’m in a romance movie yase ZeeWorld or KPop. This day really has a way of reminding you just how single you are. If you weren’t sure before, don’t worry—Valentine’s Day will make it crystal clear!

One of my pastors said singles should unite and spend the day interceding for nations. And honestly? That’s the best suggestion I’ve heard, because what else are we supposed to do? Sit here watching people post their flowers and gifts while we double-tap all day pretending it doesn’t hurt? Lord, have mercy. May this be the last Valentine’s Day we spend counting the dollars on people’s bouquets  instead of receiving our own! Today it’s red everywhere even the eyes of singles are red.

My dear married people, ENJOY! Don’t hold back, go all out, let the rest of us feel the heat. Put the pepper directly in our eyes!

Now, before anyone takes advice and runs off to do ungodly things, let me clarify—I’m talking to the married people . Couples who still intentionally love and care for each other deserve to be celebrated. From everything I’ve read in books and heard in sermons, staying committed in marriage these days is no small thing. So if you’re still holding on, loving each other, and choosing each other daily—congratulations, and happy Valentine’s Day!

I read Song of Solomon a few days ago you know, just preparing my vocabulary for when my husband finally shows up! Lol. But in the midst of my studies, I noticed a verse that was repeated three times:

“Oh, let me warn you, sisters in Jerusalem, by the gazelles, yes, by all the wild deer: Don’t excite love, don’t stir it up, until the time is ripe—and you’re ready.”

— Song of Solomon 2:7, 3:5, 8:4 (MSG)

Three times! I read it and thought, Eh? So there’s actually such a thing as stirring up love before its time and before you’re ready? And honestly, that’s exactly what some of us are about to do this Valentine’s Day—going to stir up things just for a few gifts.

Don’t put yourself under unnecessary pressure. Wait upon the Lord. There’s a time when love will be ripe for you to awaken, and at that time—you will be ready.

“I’m ready,” we say, mostly because we want what we want right now. But God is the one who announces our readiness—not our emotions, not the calendar, and definitely not Valentine’s Day. When you’re truly ready, God brings what a ready person is ready for, ready to handle, and ready to steward—including marriage. So, trust His timing!

Happy Valentine’s Day, my beloved family! I love you all and celebrate each and every one of you! Now, if you really want the roses and chocolates… just buy them for yourself. We know the brothers aren’t exactly stressing over getting arranged flowers and heart-shaped boxes, so yeah—handle it yourself! Lol.

Good morning, my Yielded people! I sincerely apologize for not posting a blog yesterday. I hope you’re all doing well and feeling excited for the week ahead. It’s Hallelujah Challenge week—so dress like your miracle and show up with expectation!

We’ve been exploring the topic of dreams with three key focuses:

1. Discovering your dream

2. Reviving your dream

3. Pursuing your dream

I encourage you all to share these links with your friends because I truly believe creation is still groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God—yet many lack the knowledge needed to step into their purpose. Knowledge is essential.Your parents invested so much in your education, not just for the sake of a certificate, but because they understood that an empty mind eventually leads to an empty life. The world rejects emptiness—that’s why they prioritize those with experience. In other words, they’re saying, we want those who know something!

Many people say they hate reading because they find it boring. But I believe that’s just a form of mental conditioning. The mind is naturally comfortable with what it already knows and resists new information because learning requires change—and change can be uncomfortable.

However, the mind only grows when it receives new knowledge. If the last time you truly learned something new was at 18, then in many ways, your mind is still 18.Why am I saying all this, because I want to encourage you to push those around you—your friends, your children, your family—to read. What you don’t know can harm you. Sometimes, ignorance is more dangerous than we realize.

Adults often think that reading ends after university. Instead, we spend our time reading captions on social media and subtitles on TV—but never pick up a book or even read Yielded blogs. Think about it—you didn’t stop growing physically, so why choose to stop growing mentally? How will you truly know God if you never open your Bible and read?

New information can make a new person. Medical information makes doctors. Biblical information makes transformed believers. You are what you know. That is why you can’t just walk into a hospital and ask for a stethoscope and say you’re ready to work , they will take you to a mental ward to sleep a bit – why? Because they know you haven’t studied for this. You have no mental capacity or knowledge on how to even cure a headache. You are also respected based on what you know. Fools command no respect. If all you say is “You know what.” Or “Actually” my friend, go read books.

We make it sound cute: “I’m not a book person.” But maybe what you really mean is “I’m not a growth person.” Because the greatest people who have ever lived read—even Jesus read the scrolls time and time again. You want to be like the Elons and the Gates of this world? They probably have books they read every quarter. They don’t just read a single text from a partner who only messages once a day.

The answers we seek are often just a few pages away, hidden in books. No one suddenly becomes intelligent—it’s not a miracle, it’s intentional effort. We grow by seeking knowledge, by reading, by learning. That being said, make the effort—show up and read. Go back and revisit the Dreams series, catch up, meditate on it, and take action. The more you invest in learning, the more you position yourself for growth and transformation.

In every season, we should be found ten times better in wisdom, understanding, and capacity. “In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.” — Daniel 1:20

Every day, we make countless choices—from the moment we wake up to the clothes we wear, the time we eat, and the places we visit. Some decisions may seem small, while others carry greater weight, such as choosing whether or not to serve God. Each choice we make shapes our lives, influencing us both in the present and in the long run.

Many of us have chosen the schools we attended, often with the support of our parents. We decide which country to settle in, which of the five suitors to marry, whether to eat our vegetables or stick to meat. We choose Lisa as a friend over Amy, the red dress instead of the black one. Each day is filled with countless decisions, both big and small. In truth, your day is as good as our choices and the opposite is just as true.

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” Deuteronomy‬ ‭30‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

For example, I choose to write the Reflection Friday blog, but I could just as easily choose not to. You choose to read it, but you could also choose not to. Sometimes, we make impulsive decisions that lock us into certain seasons like a padlock, while other times, our choices serve as the key that sets us free. What influences our choices? Our background, mindset, faith, the people we surround ourselves with, our level of education, desperation or passion/zeal, the environment or country we live in, our emotions, social media, peer pressure, personal character, and ultimately, either the devil or God Himself.

Let’s take a moment to reflect—what good choices did you make this week? Remember, choices are simply decisions. Did you wake up early and stay productive? Did you prioritise prayer and Bible reading? Did you take care of your health, drink enough water, or spend quality time with loved ones?

Now, what about the not-so-good choices? Maybe you overslept or barely got any sleep. Perhaps you neglected your Bible reading, spent too much time on social media, or gave in to temptation. Whatever they may be, acknowledge them. What’s next? Learn from your choices—both good and bad—and let them shape a better, wiser, and more intentional new week.
