Hey fam! I almost forgot about today’s blog—yho! All morning, I had this nagging feeling like I was forgetting something, but my brain just refused to cooperate. I mean, I cannot have a failing memory at my tender age. What is this? Early-onset chicken mind? Never my dhiye .
Some of you are even worse, you’ll turn the whole house upside down looking for your phone… while it’s literally in your hand. Tragic. I may be forgetful, but at least I haven’t reached that level (yet). Anyway, let’s pick up where we left off yesterday before I forget what I was supposed to say next!
One woman is a baby thief, the other is a heartbroken mother who wakes up to find a lifeless child beside her. I can’t help but wonder how she felt in that moment—shock, confusion, sheer horror. She must have stared at both babies, trying to make sense of it all. I imagine the thief had even swapped their clothes, making the switch so seamless that unless you looked closely, you’d never suspect a thing. The deception was calculated.
What kind of sleep was this woman sleeping that she didn’t even wake up to check on her child? What kind of deep slumber makes you so unaware that you don’t hear a thing? It’s almost unbelievable. But then again, many of us are just like that—spiritually asleep.
1 Kings 3:20 (NIV):So she got up in the middle of the night and took my son from my side while I your servant was asleep. She put him by her breast and put her dead son by my breast.
We don’t pray. We don’t fast. We don’t study the Word. And the enemy takes full advantage of our slumber, stealing what rightfully belongs to us. Some of us don’t realize just how much our spiritual laziness is costing us. You were once sharp, full of wisdom, but now? Nothing you say reflects that anymore. Did you really think you could just relax and not pay the price? Wake up!
It’s funny how we always blame the other woman—the thief. But think about it… if the real mother had been awake, if she had checked on her baby, she would have caught the thief in the act. At least the other woman woke up, even if it was to steal.
My dear, witches are up every night. Yes, Satanists and demons don’t sleep—they are busy stealing, killing, and destroying. But you, the believer, are the one still pulling your blankets over your head, thinking, Ah, all is well. Let me tell you—all is NOT well!
There are transactions happening while you sleep! With your baby! With your life! With your destiny! With your future! With your gifts and talents! With your family! With your money! With your health!
WAKE UP!
How do you safeguard your dreams? You stay vigilant. You watch and pray. You fast. You meditate on the Word of God day and night. You know when to rest and when to get up and fight in prayer! If you don’t, you’ll be the one left holding a dead baby—a lifeless dream. And let me tell you something—dead babies don’t grow. Dead babies must be buried. If you’re not careful, you won’t just lose your dream; you’ll be forced to bury it, sealing a chapter that was never meant to close.
So, what will it be? Will you wake up and fight, or will you sleep your destiny away?
