People ask me questions about how I’m able to do two or three things simultaneously, how I can write a book and still do this and that. Sometimes it’s actually people who remind me of all that I’m doing because it has become so much a part of me that I’ve eased into it naturally. Some people tell me they struggle to even do one thing and finish it, or they can’t seem to find enough confidence to step out and pursue a dream or goal. First of all, my biggest, biggest secret is GOD.
I’m one of those people who, if you took God away from them, not only would they die, they would be completely destroyed. I live and breathe God. Anything else I share after this is not nearly as important as GOD. Have a relationship with God, and I’ll tell you why that’s important when it comes to building against all odds. People of God, there is only so much you can do without God. I’m sharing this with you because many of us want to dare and build without God. The bible has a message for such people;
“Unless the Lord builds the house,the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city,
The Book of Psalms 127:1 (NIV)
the guards stand watch in vain.”
I have no desire to build without God. Not a business, not a career, not a marriage, not a friendship not even my own social media page and l am very serious. I have realised that everything without God is nothing, but one with God is majority. That vision you have will turn to dust and carry no impact for a generation if you do not involve God in it.
How can God give you a vision or a project and then you run with it without Him? Why are you so caught up trying to get men to give you direction on a God-given vision? I’m telling you exactly how I live. I discipline myself to put God in everything. It is a discipline. People will say all sorts of things about how you “spiritualise everything,” but life is spiritual. Nobody gets to the top without the backing of a spirit, and for us believers, we have GOD. We build with GOD.
People will say, “Oh, this is business, we will talk about God later.” “Why involve God in everything?” “We are talking about your sports career, where does God fit in?” “We are discussing marriage, if I love you and you love me, where does God fit in?” “Stop being so caught up with this Bible thing. Stop all this prayer.” My people, don’t listen to such foolish advice. You need God in everything.
I was so inspired listening to Folorunso Alakija, the wealthiest woman in Africa and one of the wealthiest in the globe. She brings God into every interview, every room, whether there are unbelievers there or not. In her words, “God wants to be involved even in your cooking. He has to be your major stakeholder in that company.” Do you finally get it? Without God, you will build, oh you will build, but it will be in vain. Now let’s talk about other things that keep me going against all odds.
I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon and glass shoes. As a matter of fact, my parents gave me God. At first, it felt like a burden because we were forced to go to church and all, but eventually I fell in love with God. When I did, I never asked God why we didn’t have ABC. I was more than happy with God, although deep down I knew I was called for great things. And let me tell you two things, great things are not only for people who grew up in mansions and glass houses with billionaire parents. Great things are also for the people who, even though their background wasn’t fabulous enough to get a simple birthday cake, still carried a knowing deep inside them that they were called for greatness.
I want to ask you something because it’s very important in this “lesson” I’m trying to teach us: when you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you see? Your answer will either fuel your fire or pour water over it. This is where many people fail, they don’t think much of themselves. What you think of yourself is what you become. Motivational speakers will tell you, “Arise, you are a lion,” or “Shake yourself, you’re an eagle.” But I say, if you have never seen yourself as such, we can call you all the animals in the jungle and you still won’t become that. How many people are constantly told they are beautiful yet still doubt it? The issue is not always the world , sometimes it’s you.
When you look at yourself, do you see a great woman or man who is going to become a dynamic leader and impact a generation, or do you just see someone who wants a job so they can buy KFC at month-end? Do you see city, country, continent, or globe? Because some people cannot see beyond “house.” They only want to make it so they can eat McDonald’s and clear their Shein cart. They always say, “I’m not asking for much.”
One thing about me? I am asking for much
. Some of you have been asking me to tell you “how.” This is my how. Find your own how too. I said I ask for much, and when I do, I don’t care even if I only have 200 rand to my name, I still see greatness. Great people ask for much. Lord, give me MUCH. Have you heard of the evangelists who asked God for nations? Someone said “Give me Scotland!” And you are fine with nothing? There’s contentment then there’s comfort in smallness. Know the difference.
I will stop here and we continue tomorrow. You can truly be that great man or woman, but if we have to beg you to see it in yourself, I don’t see it working. You must break out of that shell and think much of yourself. Some of you really don’t think much of yourselves. You are always running behind people like a tail, yet scripture says you are the head! You act like a shadow and I wonder why. People full of talents, gifts, greatness, ah! You better wake up because tomorrow’s blog will require you to carry tissue. We must deal with some things o, but I love you still. Bye!
If you read my blogs but have never met this  Wonderful Jesus that I’m always writing about,  you’d love to get to know Him, Or you know The Lord but have found yourself drifting far from Him, I would love to talk with you. Please send me an email  on yieldedcwcenter@gmail.com or simply comment, and I will reach out to you
