Now, onto todayās blogā¦
Today I want to talk about courage, the kind of courage that Peter had when he stepped out of the boat.

Yes, Peter may have begun to sink. Yes, Jesus said he had little faith. But I still applaud him because out of twelve people, he was the only one who dared to try. He had never walked on water before, but he believed that because Jesus was doing it, he could too. When Peter said, āLord, if itās You, bid me come,ā and Jesus said, āCome,ā that was all he needed. The thought alone, to do what Jesus was doing, required faith. To dream BIG! It showed a heart that believed the impossible was possible through Christ.
What about the other eleven? Maybe they were watching. Maybe they wanted to believe. But they stayed seated, perhaps thinking, This is only for Jesus. But Jesus wasnāt modelling something unattainable, He was actually showing them possibilities. One where walking on water wasnāt out of reach, where healing the sick and doing mighty works was possible through the power of God.
If youāre someone with big dreams like me, I dey dream ohhhhh! Iām a serious day dreamer even. Those God-sized dreams. Maybe no one around you is doing it. Maybe it seems unheard of. But if God has shown you the vision, then the possibility already exists. If God says you can walk on water, you can walk on water. If He says go out two by two and heal the sick, then that is what we are to do.
Even if no one else around you has seen it happen, you can be the first to step out. Why? Because Godās power backs you. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you and quickens your mortal body (Romans 8:11). That same Spirit, the breath of the Almighty gives you understanding (Job 32:8). You already have the divine capacity within you to do great and mighty things.
The Bible says in Daniel 11:32, āBut the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.ā That means if we know God, we should be doing great things. So, why arenāt we? Often, itās fear. But the Word reminds us that Godās perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). If fear is holding us back, perhaps itās time to revisit Godās love, His power, and His promises. NOW Step out of the boat!
So today, be encouraged. You donāt need the crowd to step out. The eleven may still be sitting, but you? You can put your foot out and begin to walk. Move in faith. Move with courage. Move because Jesus said, āCome.ā See you at the top! ā¤ļø
